Dulaney and Company
Dulaney and Company
It all began when songwriters Jerod Dulaney and Malissa Miller were introduced at a Bob Dylan Concert on Oct. 24, 2012. Although it took over two years for them to actually write together, Malissa was invited to open for the former Dulaney & Co line up and the relationship grew. She joined Jerod on stage for the first time at the 2015 NAMM show catching the attention of many very prominent industry big wigs. As time went on, some members would move in different directions than Jerod and Malissa. What appeared to be a devastating set back actually gave birth to a prolific duo discovering their signature "soulful" sound. Performing primarily as a duo or trio when brother Chad Dulaney could join them on percussion. Armed with the comradery of friends stepping in to fill the void of bass, drums, or lead guitar, the two pressed on. During this transition time they opened for Lukas Nelson & Promise of The Real (twice), Blues Traveler, The Bacon Bros, Vaud and The Villians and were invited to events like The Six String Society at The Belly Up, The Big Horn Music Festival, Camp Pendleton’s world famous Mud Run, and The Natural Products Expo. As fate would have it, friends Josh Weigel and Kyre Wilcox of the band Barnwell Shift stepped in to play bass and lead guitar and have quickly become permanent fixtures at shows. If you’ve seen Dulaney & Co before, then I don’t have to tell you the amount of passion and joy they bring to the stage. If not, you’re in for a ride that will no doubt take you through a lifetime of emotional experiences and literally play the strings of your heart.
