Common Souls is comprised of vocalist Ryan Yoo and producer Nick Velez. The duo connected while studying at UCLA, bonding over a love of really slow and sad electronic music. Their first really slow and sad electronic song "Arizona" went on to win the John Lennon Songwriting Contest's coveted Song of the Year prize.
