This A3E Workshop will serve as an introduction to Digital Data Exchange’s standards and provide information on current music metadata trends, as well as the latest developments in DDEX’s cross-industry cooperation. In particular, there will be an explanation of the DDEX Recording Information Notification Standard, which is specifically designed as a tool for gathering metadata as the development of a recording takes place during the various stages of studio activity. The workshop will provide you with a thorough understanding of DDEX’s various standards and how they're used across the industry as part of the overall operational infrastructure. This will also show how the industry is investing in long-term solutions for the collection, maintenance and communication of metadata throughout the whole music industry ecosystem to try to ensure that everyone is properly credited and paid. This workshop is essential for any creatives working in the industry who want to learn about DDEX’s standardization efforts, regarding the collection and communication of metadata about them and their creations, and for anyone working in the industry at an operational or IT level where DDEX standards are or might be used.
