Alan Bergman

Alan Bergman and his wife Marilyn are among the most celebrated songwriting team of their time (and anyone else’s).  They began writing together in the early 1950s and wrote the lyrics for such hits as “Nice ‘n’ Easy” for Frank Sinatra, “Yellow Bird” which has been recorded by hundreds of artists as well as over 60 songs recorded by Barbara Streisand.  In fact, the couple won six Oscar awards, many of which are for songs that appeared in Streisand films.  In recapping their incredible careers it might be easier to list who they have not worked with, George Washington for example.
