Bill Koepnick

Bill Koepnick is the co-founder of Advantage Audio in Burbank, CA where he specializes in creating and recording sound effects for movies and television. Bill got interested in music at a young age and was an avid fan of The Ventures. His instrument of choice was the drums and he played in the band Duck Soup, which got a record deal and prompted his move to California. After some mild success with Duck Soup and few moves back and forth between Philadelphia, PA and California, Bill got the bug to be on the other side of the glass and started working as an engineer in recording studios. He went on to get a job with Mark Smith which started his long career in recording which included working at Sound City, and ultimately a job at Sun West working with Jim Hodson. In addition to being an in-demand recording engineer for sound effects, Bill also helped design and write the manual for Q-Sheet alongside Evan Brooks.
