Bill Schnee
Bill Schnee has always enjoyed utilizing the latest technology to the fullest when it comes to recording music. As an award-winning engineer, Bill and his crew designed cutting edge equipment (alongside Doug Sax) for Schnee Studio to help optimize capturing a recorded performance - which included a discrete recording console and tube mic preamps. Bill's credits read like a who's who in the music business. They include Ringo Starr, Barbara Streisand, Rod Stewart, Whitney Houston, Marvin Gaye, Steely Dan, Chicago, Natalie Cole, The Pointer Sisters, George Benson, and on and on. An early important project to Bill was the 1975 album I’ve Got the Music in Me by Thelma Houston for which Bill used the live direct to master disc technique.
