Bob Olsen

Bob Olsen often said because he did not play a musical instrument yet had a successful career in the music products industry that he was “a vegetarian in the business of prime meat.” The fact is Bob became very passionate about the music companies he worked for, beginning with Hammond Organ and later, Lowrey Organ. At the time, Lowrey was owned by Chicago Musical Instruments (CMI) which was later renamed Norlin. Bob was always interested in the export business and played a vital role in the expansion of Hammond and Lowrey into international markets. Over the years, he also became a close friend to Mr. Kakehashi and helped him write his autobiography called “I Believe In Music.”
