Bob Ulius
Bob Ulius began working in the music industry when San Francisco retailer, Stu Goldberg, hired Bob at Marina Music in 1969. It was the beginning of a long career that included gigs at Leo’s Pro Audio in Oakland, California, and with Sound Genesis. Bruce Hatch formed Sound Genesis, which was located on Bryant Street and sold such as brands as Soundcraft and TASCAM. During his NAMM Oral History interview, Bob talked about the folk music boom in San Francisco during the 1960s and how meaningful it was for him to be working at Stu’s store, which he called a hub for musical expression in those days.
