Carmine Appice

Carmine Appice looked up to drummers like Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich as he honed his talent and became an extremely successful rock drummer. Working with names like Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, and Rod Stewart to name a few, Carmine has served as a drum and percussion inspiration to a generation of rock drummers that followed him. While Carmine had great success on stages throughout the world, he also carved out a niche as an author, creating the best-selling drum instruction book, The Realistic Rock Drum Method, in 1972. In recent years, Carmine has been inducted into the Classic Drummer Hall of Fame in 2013 and the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2014.
