Chelsie Reed
Chelsie Reed is the Marketing Coordinator for the store her parents, Cindy and Rand Cook, own and operate. Candyman Strings & Things was formed in 1969 by Matthew Schwartzman and later sold the store to the Cooks. It was Matthew who named the store after two different songs called “Candyman.” Blues musicians, the Reverend Gary Davis and Mississippi John Hurt, both wrote their own songs about a man who comes to town to supply the needs of the community. Picking up on the concept, Chelsie has used her marketing and Social Media skills to convey the message that Candyman Strings & Things is the place to go for all those wishing to make music.
