David Gold
David Gold created a special formula that became the key factor in the echo chamber of his Hollywood recording studio called Gold Star. The studio was filled with furniture and electronic machines that David built himself. All of the control boards and all modifications of the gear within the studio over the years were all made by David’s two hands. As a result to this very unique approach, he created a very unique sound, including the space for Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound. David’s passion for music and interest in recording equipment made him the perfect partner with Stan Ross, the perfect PR man! Together they formed Gold Star Studios, the birthplace of countless hit records and historic albums such as “Pet Sounds” by the Beach Boys and the Runaway’s first album entitled “Runaway.”
