Doc Bochenek
Doc Bochenek provided some interesting background on a number of important companies and instruments during his 2020 NAMM Oral History interview. Having worked with Moog Music, Doc was the one to sell the synthesizers that Disney used to create the music for the Main Street Electrical Parade. Doc also studied the history of Regal Musical Instruments in Chicago and fell in love with a guitar called the Octofone. The instrument was actually introduced at a NAMM Show in the 1920s but was discontinued before the company closed. Having done research and obtaining the copyright, Doc was able to create his own version of the guitar and re-introduced the Octofone at the NAMM Show nearly one hundred years later.
