Don (DJ) Johnson

Don (DJ) Johnson joined the Ovation Guitar Company in 1968, just about the time Glen Campbell was introducing the unique round-back instrument on national television. DJ worked for the founder, Charlie Kaman, as well as his son Bill for many years and even after the company went through many changes. He covered all areas of the production of the guitar including sanding and final inspection. Just a few years after his retirement from the industry, DJ brought his luthier skills to the Magic Fluke Company where he works on their famous ukulele line as well as their small basses.
