Doug Williams

Doug Williams heard his father singing as far back as he can remember. As a member of the Big Five gospel group, his father encouraged his children to sing in church. Doug sang with his two older brothers as part of the Williams Brothers, a group that performed and recorded for several decades. In the early days they would often sing songs written by his older brother, Frank Williams. The Williams Brothers recorded several popular gospel songs beginning in the early 1970s such as “He’s My Brother” and their signature song “Jesus Will Fix It.” The brothers formed Blackberry Records where Doug served as president for nearly thirty years. Along the way the brothers recorded several songs Doug had written including “I’m Still Here” in 1991.
