Dr. David Karp
Dr. David Karp grew up with music all around him and with the encouragement of his parents to pursue his passion for music. As a composer, pianist, professor and author of published teaching methods, Dr. Karp has inspired and encouraged countless people to make music! He has been on the faculty of Southern Methodist University since 1975, published a number of works for Alfred Music, Lee Roberts/Hal Leonard, and most recently, FJH Publications. He has also composed a meaningful tribute to the Holocaust for flute, cello, piano and voice titled “Homesick.” His childhood passion for music still remains with him each and every day!
