Dr. Wolf-Dieter Seiffert

Dr. Wolf-Dieter Seiffert is the president of G. Henle Publishers, a noted publishing firm located in Germany. Dr. Seiffert is also a musicologist and historian, who took great pride in our interview to discuss the rich history of the company and that of its founder, Mr. Henle. The Henle company, which was established after World War II and soon created the respect of musicians the world over, specializes in Urtext editions of sheet music in which every effort is made to ensure the text used is original and exactly what the composer wrote rather than what was later arranged or changed.  While Gunter Henle passed away in 1979, Dr. Seiffert and his team continue to dedicate their passion and focus on the inspiring vision of their founder.
