Emma Lou Diemer

Emma Lou Diemer has written classical, choral, and even hymns based organ music during her long and successful career as a composer.  Her music has been published by over 40 different music publishers over the years, including several that requested she write method books and beginner music, which became key works for music teachers and music education classes.  Along the way, she also wrote electronic music using several early synthesizers including the Moog.  . In 1971, she began teaching composition at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she helped to create an electronic computer music program.
