Franz Moser
Franz Moser is a student of instrument acoustics as well as a double bass player who often asked himself, “What conditions need to be fulfilled for a stringed instrument to immediately respond with a clear, powerful tone at all times?” The search for an answer took Franz on an educational journey though the written materials as well as many of his own tests. In 1999, Franz introduced the Moser Patent Bridge Mechanism (MPM). The Moser Klangwerkstatt was established in 2003 to market the MPM, which was only the first of several products now offered by the company, which is based in Persenbrug, Austria.
