Jack Kanstul

Jack Kanstul and his brother, Mark, joined forces with their father Ziggy in 1981 when Kanstul Musical Instruments was established in Anaheim, California.  Like his father, Jack had worked for the F.E. Olds Company and developed a good idea of how to be a successful brass instrument manufacturer.  Jack was the company’s first plant manager and later grew the sales department, a position he has become very passionate about.  “My father makes the instruments and I sell them” he said at the time of his NAMM Oral History interview in October 2015.  In 2005, when the company branched out into the world of tuba making, it was Jack who developed the relationships both in the United States and around the World to market and sell the instruments—a real success story for the company.
