Jack Tempchin
Jack Tempchin remembers buying his first harmonica at Ozzie’s Music in San Diego at the height of Bob Dylan’s influence as a performer and songwriter. Along with other influences, Jack found himself writing his own songs, including several that have become standards in popular music during the 1970s and 80s. He wrote “Peaceful Easy Feeling” which the Eagles recorded with great success (the song appears on the Eagles Greatest Hit album, which was awarded the best selling album of the 20th century). Jack also wrote songs for other performers, while becoming a noted player in Los Angeles and San Diego. Jack has also performed at the NAMM Foundation’s Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, located at the NAMM headquarters building.
