Jay Livingston

This audio only interview was conducted for a radio program by Dan Del Fiorentino and donated to the NAMM Oral History program: Jay Livingston happily wrote the music to accompany the lyrics of his lifelong friend, Ray Evans. They wrote three Oscar winning songs along with the Christmas classic "Silver Bells." The team also wrote for television including the themes for Bonanza and Mr. Ed. The team wrote pop tunes as well as three Broadway musicals including the award-winning Sugar Babies in 1979. Jay and Ray were inducted together into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
