John Lewis

John Lewis was awarded the 2015 Volunteer of the Year for his dedication to the NAMM Foundation’s Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, California. John has enjoyed several positions within the museum including working in the museum store and helping with concerts and special events. However, it is as a gallery attendant that John feels the most rewarded. He enjoys asking visitors if they play an instrument and if they do he is sure to point out all of the related instruments and displays within the museum. Over the years he has volunteered, there have been many special exhibits within the special rotating exhibit space that have been extra meaningful to John including the saxophone and harp guitar displays.
