John McCarthy

John McCarthy has been running a music studio and teaching guitar lessons since the 1990s. After a conversation with his sister, he realized if he recorded and distributed his lessons on video, he could reach many more people who wanted to learn to play guitar. His approach includes getting people playing right away and breaking concepts down to understandable segments that applied to real world playing.  Believing in the value and viability of this venture, he sunk everything he had into getting it started.  The lessons and the concept of lessons by video were a hit from the start and so The Rock House Method began.  Now Rock House is the standard for web-based, streaming lessons that includes a roster of who’s who of guitarists.
