Karl Bruhn

Karl Bruhn was the Bob Hope of the music industry, having received so many awards and accolades – an award should have been given for the most awards received. Karl gained his reputation as an advocate for arts education and accompished much on many levels to teach an understanding of music and promote the concept that music does make a difference in people’s lives. As a bandleader, he arranged and performed in the style of the big bands and later worked in a music retail store before serving Yamaha and in the NAMM office as the first director of market development.  Karl once said he was most proud of the work he did to encourage young people to make music a part of their lives.
