Karlheinz Götz
Karlheinz Götz has always been proud of his musical heritage. His grandfather, Conrad August Götz, was the founder of the C.A. Götz Company back in 1884. The company, which was located near Markneukrichen, Germany handcrafted violin parts such as tuning pegs and later the manufacturing of strings. Karlheinz, who often goes by the name Karl, teamed with his brother Klaus in 1958 to travel to the NAMM Show for the first time to expand their business into the United States market. It was a clever and important development for the company, which expanded thanks to retail partners such as West Music in Iowa. Over the years Karlheinz has also been a strong supporter for music education and an advocate for the performing arts.
