Kevin Lamb

Kevin Lamb distinctly remembers sitting in a music class when the subject of music publishing came up and thinking, "I never want to do that." After some forty years in the music publishing industry, he laughs at that first impression. Ironically, Kevin often teaches a college class at Belmont University in Nashville on music publishing! Kevin first worked for the publishing side of Wish Bone Studios in Muscle Shoals in 1975, and nine years later he began his ten years with MayPop, the publishing company owned by the country group Alabama. Kevin then worked for Peer Music in their Nashville office for over 21 years, focusing on the catalogs of the Carter Family, among others.
