Lalo Schifrin
Lalo Schifrin composed "Mission Impossible" for television and "Dirty Harry" for the movies (among others) and yet what seems to have brought him the most personal joy was his work and friendship with Dizzy Gillespie! During his childhood and music education in college, Lalo was a big jazz fan so when he had the opportunity to work with Dizzy, he was thrilled! The two recorded and performed together for many years. His composing and arranging career in Hollywood is storied. He has been awarded many times for his work but during the interview he shied away from such talk. He wanted to talk about jazz!
