Larry Nitka
Larry Nitka grew up listening to the big bands as his father was a sideman during the great Swing Era. His father, Artie Nitka, became a well-regarded authority on the recorder, writing method books that are still in print today. While writing and teaching, Larry's father started a music store near the bus station in New York and called it Terminal Music. Larry worked in the store and grew up in retail, in fact his first job was for Artley Music in 1964. Larry went into the clothing business but returned after his father passed away to run Terminal Music on 48th Street. In 1994, the store was purchased by Sam Ash and Larry has been a proud member of the Sam Ash family ever since.
