Matt Guzzetta

Matt Guzzetta loves to design things. He designed a motorcycle that won a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for a coast to coast ride on only one tank of gas. As it turned out, one of his car shops was next door to the American Dream guitar shop where Bob Taylor and Greg Deering (among others) were building musical instruments. From time to time, the luthiers would ask Matt to borrow a tool or help creating a jig. As Bob Taylor's career developed, so did his need for more and more sophisticated tooling and Matt was always just a phone call away. Matt designed the fret board sanding machine, as well as special clamps and other tools for Taylor Guitars in the early years. Even after retiring, Matt continues to help design and create tooling for the company, which he is so proud to say he watched grow from the ground up.
