Mike Wofford

Mike Wofford has enjoyed a long and acclaimed career in music. As a jazz pianist, Mike has performed with many legends including Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Carter, Quincy Jones, Shelly Manne, Zoot Sims and Sassy Sarah Vaughan. He pays remarkable attention to details and understands the role as an accompanist to vocalists. Mike was also Ella’s musical director for a time and in fact appeared on her final recording, All That Jazz, before her passing in 1996. In 2000, Mike married jazz flutist Holly Hofmann and together they have been influential in the jazz movement in San Diego since that time.
