Narada Walden

This audio only interview was conducted by David Schwartz and donated to the NAMM Oral History program: Narada Walden formed Tarpan Studios in San Rafael, California in 1985. Over the years, Narada produced several albums in the studio, including a few of his own. As a percussionist and drummer, he worked with the Tommy Bolin Band, John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra (replacing Billy Cobham). Narada’s first solo album, Garden Of Love, was released in 1976 to be followed by a dozen more over the years including Awakening(1979), Divine Emotion(1988), and Evolution(2015).
