Omer Deutsch

Omer Deutsch’s career as a luthier was fueled by his passion for heavy metal rock. In college, he studied industrial design and later had a job outside of music. He dreamed of a day when he could design and create his own musical instruments for others to make music from. With his wife’s strong support, Omer built his first OD Guitar instrument in 2015. He began to use Facebook and other social media to market his customer guitars, which have now been sold around the world. It was a pleasure to interview Omer at the 2018 NAMM Show in Anaheim when he became the first person born in Israel to be included in the NAMM Oral History program!
