Philip Bynoe
Philip Bynoe was encouraged to play his father’s upright bass, which developed into an amazing career in music. Philip attended Berklee College of Music and would play at night in clubs throughout New England. During the 1980s he helped form the band Flash and recorded with the likes of Steve Perry and Steve Vai. As a gearhead, Philip has enjoyed his strong relationships with music manufacturers such as Ernie Ball and Line 6. During his 2020 NAMM Oral History interview, he remarked that musical gear such as instruments, strings and effects pedals “allows me to express myself in ways words cannot.”
