Ray Parker Jr
Ray Parker Jr may best be known for writing the soundtrack to Gostbusters, but his legacy goes back much further. Starting in Detroit as a teenager, Ray got the opportunity to work and tour with Stevie Wonder. Ray eventually went on to do writing and session work in LA, before finally going on to record his first gold record “Raydio” in 1978. Thinking he would take an early retirement, Ray was tapped in 1984 to write a small bit for the Ghostbusters soundtrack that eventually took off into a much larger project, thrusting Ray back into the spotlight. Ray has remained active in music since and continues to record and play on a regular basis.
