Roger Cox

Roger Cox began his career at Ampeg in Linden, NJ.  At Ampeg he served as Vice President of Operations responsible for Quality, Manufacturing, Service, and Research and Development. During his time at Ampeg, Roger fathered the Ampeg SVT which is still in production. After two years at Altec Lansing first in Engineering and then in Marketing, he was hired by Norlin to direct new products for the Electronics Product Group.  While at Norlin, working with  Bob Moog and Dave Luce, he developed and field tested new Maestro sound modification devices and the Lab Series Guitar and Bass amplifiers. In his 24 years at Fender, Roger served as VP R&D, VP Strings, Picks and Accessories, and finally VP Corporate Value.  During that time Roger and Steve Woolley conceived and developed the Fender Passport portable PA product line - which continues.
