Tom Schmitt

Tom Schmitt is the CEO and Chairman of Schmitt Music Company, which was founded by his great-grandfather in 1896.  The company, which now has several locations throughout the Midwest, has been an innovative retailer within the music products industry.  Tom spoke of his family roots and how the company grew and developed over the years during his NAMM Oral History interview, which was in fact the 2,000th interview for the collection.  His was a fitting milestone, as Tom served on the NAMM Board of Directors during the time in which the Oral History program began.  Tom later served as Chairman for NAMM from 2009-2011.
