Disneyland Reopening in April

Anaheim’s marquis tenant will soon be re-opening its doors to the happiest place on earth. Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced during the company’s annual shareholder meeting that Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will reopen in late April.

“Here in California, we’re encouraged by the positive trends we’re seeing and we’re hopeful they’ll continue to improve and we’ll be able to reopen our parks to guests with limited capacity by late April,” Chapek said.

California theme parks have been closed since March 2020 under COVID-19 health and safety reopening guidelines issued by the state.

California theme parks can now reopen on April 1 provided the counties they reside in reach the red/substantial tier-2 risk status of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s updated Blueprint for a Safer Economy.

This is a major step toward reigniting Southern California’s local economy, and creating plans for The 2022 NAMM Show.

Registration and the opportunity to book Anaheim hotels will open in August 2021.
