Major industry brands from nine countries take part in NAMM Musikmesse Russia and Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia
Extensive education and business programs pair with a three-day public music festival “liveONstage”
Manufacturers and distributors of leading brands from around the world have confirmed their exhibit space and attendance. NAMM Musikmesse Russia and Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia are pleased to announce the participation of 130 key companies who will demonstrate the latest products and developments for a Russian audience. The second edition of NAMM Musikmesse Russia will run four days, May 16-19, 2013. Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia 2013, which focuses on technologies and services for events, installation and production, will run three days, May 16-18, 2013. Both shows will take place at the IEC “Expocentre” in Moscow.
NAMM Musikmesse Russia and Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia have received the official support of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. On behalf of the State Duma Ms. Maria Maksakova – famous Russian opera singer - will participate in the grand opening ceremony of the projects.
Importers, representatives of retail trade, heads of concert halls, conductors, sound and light directors, festival and concert organizers, music teachers, students, amateur, and professional musicians are included in the group of pre-registered visitors.
Besides the demonstration of leading products, both NAMM Musikmesse Russia and Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia are noted for comprehensive education, entertaining and business programs. Educational sessions at NAMM Musikmesse Russia and Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia will cover all the areas of music industry and the light and sound technologies industry.
The international conference, “Music Without Borders” will be held on May 18, 2013 during NAMM Musikmesse Russia. Topics will include music education and media education in music for all ages, and inclusive music education (within the framework of the on-site session of the Group of Friends of United Nations Convention on rights of physically challenged people, as well as the managing committee of the Global Agreement of United Nations in Russia). A roundtable “Music Space is Our Connection” – will be held on topical issues such as cooperation between business and authority institutions, civil society, mass media, parliamentary parties and traditional denominations in music education policy, as well as patronage in music.
A further highlight at NAMM Musikmesse Russia will be the Moscow Meeting of musical and art school principals. During this session the heads of Moscow music schools will discuss the topical issues related to music education, promotion and advocacy, and will have an interactive communication with leading musical instrument manufacturers at NAMM Musikmesse Russia.
After the successful start in 2012, NAMM Musikmesse Russia will see the second edition of NAMM University classes. Tailor-made for Russian retailers, the NAMM University sessions will feature international and Russian industry experts, sharing their success stories in a series of peer-to-peer training courses.
The 2013 show is proud to announce the premiere of a public music festival “liveONstage“ for music lovers during NAMM Musikmesse Russia. The three-day “liveONstage“ festival will feature leading Russian rock bands that will attract a wide audience of music fans. One of the most exciting moments for rock’n’roll fans will be an autograph session with Gus G, guitar player for Ozzy Osbourne.
Piano Days organized by the Russian Association of piano tuners will demonstrate the latest piano technologies and will be lead by a mix of international experts and piano producers’ representatives.
A two-day “Colisium” convention will cover sessions focused on music media, marketing and new opportunities for the promotion of music. The Russian Union of Concert Organizations will gather the heads of symphony and chamber orchestras for a discussion of issues topical to their segment.
Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia fringe program is renowned for professional advice, discussions and overviews for the specialists of the industry. The first Prolight + Sound NAMM Rental Companies Forum Russia will be held during the show. Organized by EuroShow and Event.rufor the heads of event agencies and rental companies including their staff, leading manufacturers and distributors of lighting and sound equipment will introduce current developments of the industry. It will cover topics such as:
- Automatic control systems for rental companies
- Coordination of all technical services, and coordination between creative and technical departments in rental companies
- Media controllers
- Wireless channels characteristics
- Amplification system selection criteria
- 3D surround-sound stereo systems areas of application
- Decentralized networks
A series of training seminars for event agencies specialists will also be presented at Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia. For the second time the Contest for lighting solutions organized by Martin Pro will be held at Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia.
The reinvestment of part of the proceeds of the shows into the industry through this extensive professional development program at both shows supports development of the Russian musical instruments and technologies market, in addition to initiating future advocacy efforts to ease trade regulations with Russia.
