NAMM and the Music Achievement Council's Recruitment and Retention Guide Wins Printing Award
A source book produced by the Music Achievement Council and NAMM, and printed by Genesis Press in Fla., was recently honored at the 19th Annual Florida Print Awards for its print quality
NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry, announced today that Genesis Press of Hialeah Gardens, Fla., was honored recently at the 19th Annual Florida Print Awards in recognition of the print quality of the Recruitment and Retention Guide, a source book produced by the Music Achievement Council (MAC) and NAMM.
The piece was recognized in the “best of” category for Source Books to award the quality printing of the guide.
The handbook was designed to serve veteran teachers, beginning teachers and future teachers and provides practical information on recruiting methods for beginning instrumental music. The booklet also includes recruiting techniques being used successfully today by directors in schools throughout the country. The procedures included in the guide have been tested in action and are proven to work. The resource is part of NAMM’s ongoing program to provide information to grow the music products industry.
NAMM Member Sandy Feldstein, owner of PlayinTime Productions, Inc. in Aventura, Fla., and a member of the Music Achievement Council, recently helped to rewrite the guide to make it more user-friendly and appealing.
“NAMM is very proud of the efforts and mission of the Music Achievement Council to promote instrumental music participation and produce materials that encourage and motivate students to join, and stay, in band and orchestra,” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO, NAMM. “This award is a tribute to the dedication to quality that the council and NAMM stand for on behalf of music education and the music products industry.”
