NAMM Musikmesse Russia (September 14 – 17), the international musical exhibition, successfully concluded last week, welcoming over 12,000 music industry professionals and music lovers to the show’s thematic pavilions. Now in its sixth year, the show attracted Russian and international manufacturers and distributors of musical equipment and accessories, a wealth of thematic programming and events, as well as over 12,000 visitors to Moscow’s Sokolniki Center.  

On behalf of the global NAMM community, we send our deepest condolences and prayers to those who have been affected by the tragic events in Las Vegas. That such violence occurred where innocent concert-goers had gathered with friends and loved ones for an evening of music unites us in shared shock and sorrow. Our thoughts are with the injured and the grieving families of the fallen, may they find the strength to move forward in the face of this senseless atrocity.

The NAMM Foundation is pleased to announce nominees for the 33rd NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards. The annual awards are presented at The NAMM Show in Anaheim, California (January 27, 2018), the global gathering of music, pro sound and event tech industries, and celebrate the spirit of innovation, honoring the best-in-class products in the pro audio community.

The inaugural AES@NAMM Pro Sound Symposium: Live & Studio is a unique education and training program from the Audio Engineering Society targeted at working professionals in the live sound, recording and performance-audio communities.

For NAMM members seeking a jumpstart to retail success in 2018, The NAMM Show returns with the perennial favorite: Retail Boot Camp. On Wednesday, January 24, before the Show officially opens, retail business owners, managers, sales personnel, marketers and accountants can rev up their retail and financial know-how through two tracks: Sales, Marketing and Website; or Financial Management.

All of us at NAMM would like to express our sincere concern for everyone impacted by the recent natural disasters. The coming weeks will be a difficult time of assessing damage and beginning recovery efforts. Alongside the U.S. government, national and local disaster relief organizations will be on the front lines of this work. We know that many of our members have been directly impacted and that many more of our members around the globe have been looking for ways to assist.

The robust schedule of professional education will be held each day of The 2018 NAMM Show, January 25-28 in the NAMM Education Campus located inside the Anaheim Hilton Hotel.

To be held concurrently with The 2018 NAMM Show from January 25-28 in Anaheim, CA, the inaugural AES@NAMM Pro Sound Symposium: Live & Studio is a unique education and training program being presented by the Audio Engineering Society. The four-day symposium comprises a unique, high-end education and training program targeted at professionals working in live sound, recording and audio for the performing arts.

The music begins at The 2018 NAMM Show, via the Bands @ NAMM program, a platform for artists of all ages and genres to showcase their talents to the crossroads of the industry. Held in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center, January 25-28, The 2018 NAMM Show will host five stages across the campus.

The 2018 NAMM Show, the global crossroads of the music products, pro audio and sound, and event technology industries, will offer exhibitors and attendees the largest expanded campus in the show’s history when the doors open January 25-28, 2018 in Anaheim, California.
