NAMM Foundation Invites Music Educators, University Faculty and Students, and Partner Organizations to 2011 Summer NAMM
The NAMM Foundation announced today that it is inviting music educators, university faculty and students, and the foundation’s partner organizations to attend the 2011 Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, Tenn., the music product industry’s mid-year gathering from July 21-23.
The 2011 Summer NAMM Show will feature the best music products and gear from some of the most recognized and innovative companies, providing a unique opportunity for music educators to explore the instruments and musical products that could make a big difference in the lives and education for children.
Highlights of the NAMM Foundation’s 2011 Summer NAMM events include:
- NAMM Foundation Pavilion Reception on Thursday, July 21, featuring an orientation to the trade show and highlighting the many products being exhibited at the show that can be used as valuable teaching tools
- Full access to the tradeshow floor all three days of the trade show
- Morning welcome receptions in the NAMM Foundation Lounge
- Daily performances in the NAMM Foundation Lounge
- Daily drum and ukulele circles in the NAMM Foundation Lounge
“The NAMM Foundation extends a warm welcome to music educators and supporters to explore the newest music products and teaching tools that can be used to enhance the experience of people of all ages who are learning to play instruments,” said Mary Luehrsen, executive director of the NAMM Foundation. “The Foundation’s continuous support of music education includes providing this sneak peak for music teachers and students so they have insight into the latest trends in music making.”
The 2011 Summer NAMM show promises to be the premier music product trade event of the summer with hundreds of exhibiting companies from across the globe and thousands of music product retailers attending to see the latest in musical gear and instruments. The show draws an estimated $13 million in tourism to the local economy. In addition to the program for music educators, highlights of this year’s overall event include master artist clinics, workshops and valuable panels and education sessions, many live performances, after-hour musical events in the Nashville area, and the opportunity to network with industry professionals.
