NAMM Negotiates Lower Hotel Rates for 2003 Show

October 15, 2002

NAMM Members attending the 2003 NAMM Show will save money on hotel rooms thanks to new contracts announced by the International Music Products Association and several Anaheim hotels today.

The following hotels have rolled back their rates: Park Inn Anaheim went from $125 single/double to $93 single/double; Ramada Inn Maingate went from $116 single/double to $89 single/double; Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel went from $89 single/double to $79 single/double; Tropicana Inn and Suites went from $94 single/double to $89 single/double.

“We realize that every dollar counts in this economy, and that’s why NAMM worked to negotiate lower rates for our Members,” said Margaret Kennedy, senior meeting manager, NAMM. “However, we couldn’t have done this without the support of the Anaheim hotel community, who would like to see more NAMM Members take advantage of the savings this year.”

A recent NAMM Member survey indicated a strong desire to see lower hotel costs. NAMM responded by working closely with its Anaheim hotel partners to deliver the needed rate reductions.
