November 3, 2010

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) today announced plans for this year’s Hands-On Training (H.O.T.) The H.O.T. Zone will offer attendees free one-hour classes on more than 85 educational topics over four days, including “Basic Live Mixing Techniques,” “PROTools 101,” “Social Marketing for Your Music Business” and “DJ Equipment Integration.” On Jan. 13, 2011, the opening day of the NAMM Show, the H.O.T. Zone will be offering “Boot Camp Day” with an array of basic courses designed to provide foundation-level instruction in music technology and business.

The classes for the four-day program are being offered by top education institutions, including:

  • USC Thornton School of Music
  • Musician’s Institute
  • Ex’pression College for Digital Arts
  • Berklee College of Music

The H.O.T. Zone will be located on Level 2 of the Anaheim Convention Center and is being held for the duration of the NAMM Show Jan. 13 to Jan. 16. The forum is aimed at examining today’s challenges and sharing essential information, and designed to create custom solutions for attendees.

Those who would like to participate in the H.O.T. Zone educational offerings must be NAMM Members.
