NAMM Offers Health Care Savings for Its Members
National Rx Discount Card Can Save Members 40 Percent on Prescriptions
NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry, recently announced that it has collaborated with the association’s health care broker, Mercer, to offer NAMM Members a wide range of discount networks for savings on a variety of health services.
Under the new Smart Business Interactive portal, www.namm.org/membership/health-care/, Members have access to:
- Alternative medicine
- Dental
- Vision
- Chiropractic
- Doctor visits
The doctor visit discount can be particularly helpful to Members if they are enrolled in a limited medical insurance plan or have family members or employees without coverage. In addition, employers who can’t afford to provide insurance to their staff members may opt to provide a selection of discounts as an employee benefit package or as a supplement to an existing plan.
To further assist Members in managing health care costs, associates can receive a national prescription discount card free simply by visiting the new Web site www.marshsbi.com/namm. The prescription card can save Members an average of 40 percent (varies by drug type) over the usual and customary retail price. This benefit is also an ideal addition to a high-deductible drug plan without a prescription drug card.
In addition, Mercer offers NAMM Members the option to purchase discount cards for pet care, movie tickets, dining, hotels, home repair and more. All discount cards are priced very competitively and with the election of two or more services, are eligible to receive an extra service at no additional cost. See the “Discount Program” link on the Web site for more details and to enroll.
“NAMM and our Members join the chorus of thousands of small business voices expressing the challenges they have had associated with the rising cost of health insurance in this country,” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO, NAMM. “NAMM is dedicated to helping its associates find health care solutions for their families and employees.”
