Retail Innovation and Financial Summit to Open The 2022 NAMM Show

Half-day intensive training sessions to provide new strategies and best practices to gain competitive edge in the post-pandemic world

On Thursday, June 2, ahead of the opening of The 2022 NAMM Show, retail leaders, managers and professionals from across the industry are welcomed to participate in two half-day intensive training experiences, the Retail Innovation Summit and Retail Financial Summit. Each summit will provide the tools and strategies to successfully surmount the residual challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and supercharge business for the future.

Retail Innovation Summit

Amplify your retail success and reshape your business future with an immersion into strategies, innovations and trends to transform your business. Join retail expert, consultant and trainer Bob Negen to discover new strategies, tactics, mindsets and best practices that you will be able to use immediately in your business.

This engaging, half-day workshop is an exploration of this new, exciting “omni-experiential” future and what you must do to profit from it. Topics explored will include “how-to’s” on using content marketing to build and expand your customer base; using authenticity to attract your ideal customer; best practices in live, social selling; and Negen’s proprietary “Get 2 Give” system to earn trust, build loyalty and generate sales.

The Retail Financial Summit

Anaheim Hilton, Level 4 • 1 pm – 4 pm

Discover how to navigate this new world in a first-ever half-day workshop that will provide an immersion into financial strategies, trends and updates to acquiring, managing, selling, and reacquiring products and growing your business.

Industry financial experts Alan Friedman, CPA, and Daniel Jobe of Friedman, Kannenberg & Co., have spent the pandemic speaking with hundreds of music retailers, manufacturers and other industry professionals to get a clear read on what’s currently happening in the supply chain. With timely data in hand, coupled with sage advice on inventory management, they’ll present a can’t-miss workshop designed for anyone in music retail. Get an up-close look at what’s going on in the supply-chain world of musical products, and find out how to help mitigate the effect of delivery delays in our post-pandemic era.

The 2022 NAMM Show returns to Anaheim, California, June 3–5. Over three days, the industry crossroads will convene to network and renew business relationships, partake in professional education sessions, and launch and discover new products. More than 3,500 brands will participate in the show, including Adam Hall; American Music & Sound; C.F. Martin & Co.; Casio; Conn-Selmer; Ernie Ball; ESP; Gibson; Hal Leonard; KMC Music; Taylor Guitars; and Yamaha, among others. In the pro audio and live sound space, participating brands include 4Wall Entertainment; ADJ; Apogee; Audio-Technica; beyerdynamic; DiGiCo; Dolby; Harman; IK Multimedia; Korg; L-Acoustics; Pioneer DJ; RCF; Shure; TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik; Ultimate Ears; and more.

The show will also see the Anaheim debut of NAMM’s Top 100 Dealer Awards and the return of much-loved industry award events, including the Parnelli Awards, TEC Awards, and She Rocks Awards, as well as other event gatherings and networking opportunities including Saturday’s Grand Rally for Music Education, featuring composer and founder of the Virtual Choir Eric Whitacre for a memorable, hybrid choral experience and performance by Gateways Brass Collective.
