Women of NAMM Announce Scholarship Recipients
- Six emerging leaders to participate at The 2022 NAMM Show -
Women of NAMM (WON) is pleased to announce six recipients of its annual NAMM Show scholarship: Hailey Canfield, Dietze Music; Alia DiLullo, Gator Co.; Tamara Freethy, Cosmo Music; Kristi Noble, Quinlan and Fabish Music; Jessica Palmer, West Music/Music ConstructED; and Mandy Stertz, Pecknel Music Company. The annual scholarship program seeks to support women with goals to connect, support, and grow as professionals and leaders, and to partake in professional development education, networking and mentoring with women who are industry leaders at The NAMM Show.
Each recipient was selected through an independent review process, with priority given to those who have not attended a NAMM Show. As a scholarship winner, each will receive a one-time stipend of $1,500 to support travel, attendance and participation and job shadowing opportunities with female industry executives at the June gathering.
"I'm beyond excited to experience The NAMM Show in person for the first time and am grateful for the opportunity to do so with Women of NAMM. I am most looking forward to meeting and learning from other industry professionals, and connecting further within our MI community," shares Freethy.
Stertz echoes that sentiment: “Honestly, I’m looking forward to everything! Most importantly though, I’m looking forward to the opportunity to connect with all of the smart and dynamic women in our industry.”
Through the support of generous donors to the WON Fund (formerly known as the SWIM Fund), the group has hosted several virtual professional development roundtables, networking gatherings at The NAMM Show and Summer NAMM, as well as two leadership summits at NAMM Headquarters in Carlsbad, California. The fund has also provided opportunities for travel scholarships to attend Summer NAMM in Nashville, Tennessee. Donate here: https://www.nammfoundation.org/donate
