NAMM to Host NSCA Education and Outreach Sessions at the 2012 NAMM Show
The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) today announced a new education and outreach initiative with the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) where the group will host a mini-conference called “Best Practices in Identifying, Selling and Managing Systems Integration Projects” at NAMM’s Hands-On-Training (H.O.T.) Zone area on Thursday, Jan. 19 from noon to 6 p.m.
NSCA’s sessions will include a keynote by NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson customized exclusively for the smaller sound contractors and music retailers who offer system installation and integration support. Attendees of this session will be given information on areas of greatest opportunity for future work and tips on how to plan for growth.
The event will also feature valuable breakout sessions on effective sales proposals, how to improve project estimates and managing systems projects taught by industry experts.
“With more contractors and retailers than ever branching out into systems work, it makes a lot of sense to provide education programs and outreach here at the NAMM Show,” said Wilson. “We hope to share with these companies the true costs associated with doing the type of work and the risk/reward propositions which will make their system installations go smoothly.”
