NAMM Responds to Healthcare Ruling; Continues Efforts for Needed Changes
Like so many Americans, NAMM awaited today's ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court on the Affordable Health Act. NAMM's concern is always for the best interest of NAMM Members and a large part of that is finding ways that their association can best help Member businesses and the industry as a whole. NAMM's concern on health care is for the hundreds of NAMM Members who have expressed frustration over the years with the various restrictions and high costs of health insurance for themselves and their employees.
In response to the ongoing requests for action, NAMM continues to be an active partner in the Small Business Coalition for Affordable Healthcare. Additionally, NAMM has contributed to advocacy efforts including the development of healthcare reform rules as part of the phase-in process. With the best interest of the music products industry in mind, NAMM will work with other business organizations to monitor phase-in requirements, reform and revise the law and contribute to rules review as they develop. Please monitor the Small Business Coalition for Affordable Healthcare website for ongoing updates and communicate with NAMM’s public affairs team should you wish to be more involved in NAMM efforts related to health care.
