Robert Walker

Robert Walker worked for the retail stores of the Baldwin Piano Company.  He was located in the San Francisco store but later traveled the western states repairing and adjusting organs as they arrived in the stores.  While the retail arm of Baldwin did not last, the ideas created in the stores were later carried on by reps and repairmen for Baldwin.  Robert recalled the training he received to ensure that the customer was given the best service possible.  He thought that the attention to quality is one of the reasons why so many past employees are still in contact with each other.  "There was a lot expected of us and we enjoyed getting to know each other in the company.  It really is like a family!"
