Jack Pinney

Jack Pinney grew up in San Diego, California, where he developed a love of music and began playing drums in the early 1960s.  When some friends wanted to form a band, Jack was eager to join them, after all he had noticed the screaming girls following The Beatles and thought it looked fun.  The group of friends formed a band called Iron Butterfly and Jack played drums on many of the band’s early gigs.  As a fan of R&B, Jack was much more interested in soul music and later formed several bands in and around the San Diego area doing what he loves best, putting down the beat.
